Due to focusing on various other matters, some related to ongoing developments and others not, the engineers found themselves too busy to celebrate easter on time. However, because they really wanted to experience easter, they decided to use the Chronosphere to move back in time by two weeks. In this space-time continuum, GDI has found out that their previous operation to take out the bunnies might've not been quite enough. The bunnies had already spread further, and there have also been reports of civilians of a local village raising the bunnies as pets. How they managed to tame those human-eating killer bunnies is presently unknown, but GDI has assigned no less than three commanders on the task to find out and eliminate the bunny problem for good.
